Alison Stinely, MFA
Instructor:
Students will improve their painting skills through the completion of two projects covering topics including atmospheric perspective and pointillism, while observing subjects such as the landscape, still life, and the figure. This requires the continuation of a comprehensive study of color theory and sighting & measuring, while viewing three-dimensional objects in-the-round.

About the Instructor:
Alison Stinely was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. She received her BFA from Edinboro University of
Pennsylvania and her MFA from Indiana University, Bloomington. She is an adjunct instructor of art and design and and founder of Foundation Art Academy in Erie, PA. Alison’s work has been in many juried and
invitational exhibits nationally. She has received many awards and honors and is a two time winner of the
Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. Her solo exhibition “Nocturnal Emissions” was featured on Hi-
Fructose.com and her work “Rib Meat” was featured in Juxtapoz Magazine. Alison’s work has recently been showcased in solo exhibitions at Ghost Gallery in Brooklyn, New York as well as “Gilded Splinters” at Linda Matney Gallery in Williamsburg, Virginia. Her work is in many private collections both domestically and abroad.

*If a student chooses to enroll with materials included, ALL materials needed to complete the workshop or course will be provided by the Academy. Provided materials are professional, artist grade, and of excellent quality. ALL provided materials remain the property of the student at the conclusion of the term. Students who choose to enroll at the lower tuition rate, without materials provided, will be given a material supply list, and some advice regarding sourcing the items, so they may purchase their own supplies which may be more economical.
