About the Course
As the title suggests, this workshop will act as a study hall for figurative art. This workshop is open to artists of all experience levels and backgrounds who would like to work in painting, drawing, sculpture, or collage! Each week, a model will be in-studio to serve as the subject for students. The media used during each session is the decision of the student. The first two hours of each session will be for art-making while observing the model, with individualized instructional input given to students as they work. The final hour of each session will be reserved for group critique, during which time the instructor and students will provide constructive feedback regarding each student work. This is an exciting way for both new student artists as well as experienced artists to improve their understanding of the human form, gain new insight into their work, and exercise their observational chops.
