SUMMER - GROUP COURSE: Color Theory (8-12 Weeks / 24-36 Hours)

This course will provide students a strong foundation in Color Theory and will expose students to the basic properties and principles of color, its systems and interactions. Students will regularly be presented with new color related problems to solve via in-class slide lectures and instructor led demonstrations. Problem solving and project completion will be achieved by using acrylic paint and cut paper. Through hands-on experiments and finalized projects, students will learn the language and processes necessary to obtain a solid foundation in Color Theory. Emphasis is also placed on design knowledge and the ability to analyze work verbally in a critique setting.

9 Week (24 hour) Enrollment: $750

*FAA Supply Kit Price: $250 (plus applicable sales tax)

*If a student chooses to enroll with materials included, ALL materials needed to complete the workshop or course will be provided by the Academy. Provided materials are professional, artist grade, and of excellent quality. ALL provided materials remain the property of the student at the conclusion of the term. Students who choose to enroll at the lower tuition rate, without materials provided, will be given a material supply list, and some advice regarding sourcing the items, so they may purchase their own supplies which may be more economical.
